Hyundai to Launch IONIQ 6 in February

IONIQ 6 streamliner took inspiration from the Hyundai Prophecy concept which debuted in 2020.  The all-electric IONIQ 6 is the second model in the IONIQ range, after the IONIQ 5 (if you don’t count original IONIQ range of small cars).

The Electrified-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) has been used for SUVs up to now. It launched the Kia EV6, Genesis GV60, and IONIQ5. Along with those 3 cars, IONIQ6 800V architecture allowing for ultra-rapid 350kw rapid charging from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes.

The slinky IONIQ 6 Streamliner has a range of up to 614km, with its ultra-low aerodynamic 0.21 coefficient of drag. Not only that, IONIQ 6 features Bluelink® connected car services with Over-The-Air (QTA) vehicle system updates. The enhanced SmartSenseTM driver assistance and advanced active safety suite, along with an Intelligent Front-lighting System promise to make the new EV more than just silk knickers under a night gown

IONIQ 6 has the Digital Side Mirrors we now see in INOIQ5 EPIQ, and an interactive ambient lighting package.

“We are thrilled to introduce our first-ever IONIQ 6 as the latest addition to our IONIQ range,” Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Executive Officer, Ted Lee said.
