Mazda CX-60 debuts with up-market interiors, 3 trim levels, and an all hybridised drivetrain selection, which includes inline-six turbo petrol and diesel engines and a plug-in hybrid.

 

These powerplants are available in each od the grades: Evolve, GT or Azami, to which further safety and styling option packs can be added.

Powertrains

The hybrid-only powertrain line-up, features a 1st for Mazda, a plug-in hybrid.

The-Skyactiv PHEV has an impressive 241kW / 500Nm, combining the 100 kW motor and the 2.5-litre, four-cylinder direct injection petrol engine. Mazda CX-60 PHEV is the most powerful road-going Mazda to date, with a 0-100km time of 5.9 seconds.

76 km of EV-only mode can be had up to speeds of 100 km/h. Fuel consumption is 2.1L/100km, with CO2 emissions of 49g/km.

The 355V, 17.8 kWh high-capacity lithium-ion will charge from zero to full in 2.5 hours using a 7.2 kW AC charger.

The six-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel are both 3.3-litre units with Mazda’s 48V M Hybrid Boost technology.

e-Skyactiv G turbo petrol engine, does the 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The e-Skyactiv D turbo diesel weighs ab out as much as a four-cylinder diesel. Its 187 kW / 550 Nm gets from 01-00 in 7.3 seconds, while averaging 4.9L/100km, with CO2 emissions of 128g/km.

All engines use the new Skyactiv-Drive eight-speed automatic transmission with a clutch in place of a torque converter. It allows better control of the M Hybrid Boost electric motor in the 48V mild hybrid system in the NON-PHEV models.

Mazda CX-60 uses a new rear-biased i-Activ All-Wheel Drive system, supported by Mi-Drive, which helps the driver easily switch between five different driving modes: Normal, Sport, Off-Road, Towing and EV (PHEV only).

Technology and safety

Mazda CX-60 uses Mazda’s Skyactiv Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture. Its body shell rigidity promises driving response while keeping the passengers comfortable. Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) keeps the Mazda stable and comfortable under extreme braking.

Driver Personalisation System:

The MX60 automatically adjusts the seat, steering wheel, Active Driving Display and door mirrors to match the driver’s eye position once the driver enters their height using the infotainment settings. The system uses a camera to detect the location of their eyes in order to make the adjustments perfect.

The system includes facial recognition to remember each driver’s preferences to then adjust the 250 stored settings personal taste. It includes vehicle, audio and climate control settings of six different users, plus guests.

Easy access will then slide the seat and steering wheel away to make entry and exit easier for the driver.
