MG Unveils All-New ZS HYBRID+ SUV – Cheap as Chips

MG’s top-selling ZS just received a significant upgrade with the introduction of the all-new ZS HYBRID+. Joining MG‘s growing HYBRID+ lineup, this compact SUV now comes equipped with a full-hybrid powertrain, appealing to buyers not yet ready for the full EV experience. The 1.83kWh NCM battery allows the ZS HYBRID+ to step confidently into the HEV market with one of the largest batteries in its class. MG has been setting its cap at the market vacated by the Koreans and has been unbelievably good at it.

MG Motor Australia and New Zealand CEO, Peter Ciao, shared his enthusiasm, “Australian motorists have fallen in love with the ZS in recent years. Following the success of the MG3 HYBRID+, we’re thrilled to keep expanding our hybrid range with the ZS HYBRID+, bringing together value-packed tech and practicality.”

The ZS HYBRID+ combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 100kW/250Nm electric motor. Together, they deliver a decent 158kW of power with a fuel consumption of just 4.7L/100km. This is complemented by a three-speed hybrid automatic transmission and an Intelligent ECU that automatically adapt to driving conditions with 8 propulsion modes. The system is designed to give the ZS HYBRID+ smooth acceleration, excellent range, and a robust, adaptable drive.

ZS HYBRID+ comes with the PILOT Safety Suite, offering advanced driver assistance features like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and more, ensuring a safer experience for all passengers.

Available in two trims, the ZS HYBRID+ Excite starts at $33,990 and the ZS HYBRID+ Essence at $36,990 (DAP). Each model is backed by MG’s 10-year, 250,000km warranty, underscoring their commitment to reliability and long-term value.

Deliveries of the ZS HYBRID+ are now underway, bringing a versatile, greener option to Australia’s SUV market.
