What is the Polestar 5 Grand Tour?
Polestar Australia has organised a six-city showroom tour for the Polestar 5, giving enthusiasts their first chance to see the electric performance GT in the metal before customer deliveries begin. The tour kicks off at Polestar South Yarra on March 20 and concludes at Polestar Rushcutters Bay on June 14.

- Polestar Perth: April 29 – May 3

How Has Polestar Performed in Australia?
Polestar has delivered 8,500 cars since launching here in 2021, with sales growing 38.5% year-on-year in 2025. That growth was led by the Polestar 4, which has proven unexpectedly popular despite its controversial rear window delete.
The brand now operates 12 retail locations and 22 service points across Australia, which is a significant expansion from the single Sydney showroom they started with.

What’s Coming After the Polestar 5?
Scott Maynard, Polestar Australia Managing Director, is bullish about the pipeline: “With exciting new products on the way, led by our halo car the Polestar 5, the best is yet to come for Polestar Australia.”
The upcoming product cadence includes:
- Polestar 5 (available now)
- A new Polestar 4 variant (coming soon)
- A new Polestar 2 (next-generation model)
- Polestar 7 compact SUV (2028)
About the Polestar 5
The Polestar 5 is the brand’s halo car, a four-door electric GT that brings the Precept concept to life. It features a bespoke bonded aluminium chassis, luxurious interior with space for four adults, and the kind of design that finally makes Polestar look like more than just a fancy Volvo.
This is the car that’s supposed to establish Polestar as a genuine performance brand rather than just an EV spin-off. The fact that they’re bringing a pre-production example on tour suggests they’re confident it’ll deliver on the promise.
