Zeekr 7X Arrives in Australia: Stylish, Smart & From $57,900

🪩 2025 Zeekr 7X: Sweden’s New EV Darling Has Arrived – and She’s Not Here to Make Friends

If you haven’t heard of Zeekr yet, buckle up, buttercup – because they’re rolling into Australia like a high-voltage hurricane with their latest creation, the 2025 Zeekr 7X. Think Scandinavian chic meets Chinese tech, all wrapped in a five-seat SUV package that charges in less time than your average Grindr date lasts.

It’s sexy. It’s smart. It’s software-defined. And it’s priced from a very cheeky $57,900 before on-roads. That’s right – you can drive away in a future-proof, fast-charging, luxury electric SUV for less than a top-spec RAV4 Hybrid.

Launched in the stone-and-stained-glass surrounds of the Australian Museum in Sydney, the 7X is making it clear that Zeekr is not just here to play – it’s here to dominate.

What Does ZEEKR Mean?

  • ZE: Stands for Zero, signifying the starting point of infinite possibilities in the electric era.
  • E: Stands for Evolving the Electric Era, highlighting Zeekr’s focus on innovation and the future of electric vehicles.
  • KR: Stands for Krypton, a rare gas that emits light when electrified, symbolising Zeekr’s cutting-edge technology and the bright future of electric mobility.
  • Zeekr launched in Australia in August 2024. It has 11 dealers nationwide.

💸 Pricing & Lineup – Choose Your Fighter:

  • Rear-Wheel Drive (75kWh, 310kW, 480km WLTP) – $57,900
  • Long Range RWD (100kWh, 310kW, 615km WLTP) – $63,900
  • Performance AWD (100kWh, 475kW, 710Nm, 0-100 in 3.8s) – $72,900

All prices exclude on-roads. All models get Zeekr’s mad 800V electrical system, 22kW AC charging, and stunning Scandinavian style.

Performance – Fast, Frisky, and Fully Electric

The RWD model comes with a 310kW motor driving the rear axle – that’s more than a Taycan RWD – and a WLTP range of 480km. Upgrade to the Long Range variant and you keep the power but stretch the range to 615km with a bigger 100kWh battery.

But the real headline act? That Performance AWD model. With 475kW and 710Nm, this thing sprints to 100km/h in a pant-wetting 3.8 seconds. That’s quicker than a Polestar 2 Performance, and it’s doing it while looking like it just stepped off a Vogue cover.

You also get active air suspension with up to 45mm of lift, All-Wheel Drive traction, and an Off-Road Mode. Yes, she’s got dirt road cred too – but let’s be honest, this queen prefers sealed runways to sand traps.

🔌 Charging – Blink and You’ll Miss It

Zeekr’s calling card is blistering charging speed, and the 7X delivers.

Thanks to its 800V architecture and Golden Battery tech, the entry-level RWD variant can charge from 10–80% in 13 minutes using a 360kW charger. The 100kWh Long Range and Performance models take just 16 minutes for the same job.

Every model comes with:

  • 450kW DC fast charging capability (future-proofed!)
  • 22kW AC onboard charger
  • Home wall box compatibility
  • 7kW home charger (free with pre-order!)

That makes the Zeekr 7X one of the quickest-charging EVs on Earth. You could top it up on a coffee run – if the café knows what a double macchiato is.

🧠 Tech and Interior – Space, Style and Snapdragon Speed

Inside, it’s all clean lines, big screens, and thoughtful details. No fake wood, no unnecessary chrome, and no “what were they thinking?” plastic panels.

  • Snapdragon 8295 chip – fastest ever fitted to a Zeekr
  • 16-inch floating HD touchscreen – ultra-thin and beautifully responsive
  • 5G-connected infotainment system – lightning quick
  • Optional 36.2” Augmented Reality Head-Up Display – puts Google Maps in your windscreen
  • Full smart vehicle architecture – OTA updates, digital key, voice control

There’s a zen-like calm to the cabin, but it’s also loaded:

  • Electric opening front and rear doors
  • Heated, cooled, and massaging front seats (Performance only)
  • Premium materials and finishes throughout
  • Genuine five-seat space with full-size SUV legroom

🧳 Practicality – Frunk Yeah!

Don’t let the glam fool you – the Zeekr 7X is as practical as it is pretty:

  • 539L boot
  • 62L frunk on RWD models
  • Flat floor throughout
  • Panoramic sunroof (because drama)
  • 21” wheels for the full effect

Whether you’re loading groceries, drag gear, or two small dogs and a bad decision, it’ll fit.

🛡️ Safety and Driver Assistance – She’s Got Your Back (and Front)

With 12 cameras and radar sensors keeping watch, the 7X doesn’t miss a thing.

  • 3D Digital Surround View Monitoring
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Front and Rear Cross Traffic Alert
  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Full Auto Park Assist
  • Moving Object Detection in AR-HUD
  • Driver Monitoring System

She’s not just smart – she’s watching you, babe.

🎁 Pre-Order Bonus – Early Bird Gets the Spark

The first 1,000 customers score a glittering little gift bag:

  • 7kW Home Charger
  • Type 2 and 10A mini portable charging cables
  • Free interior and exterior colours
  • 7-Year warranty + 7-Year roadside assist

Try getting that kind of love from a German brand – they’ll charge you extra to breathe near the brochure.

👠 Final Thoughts – More Than Just a Pretty Plug

The Zeekr 7X is a shot across the bow of Tesla, BYD, and anyone else resting on their lithium-powered laurels. It’s fast, ultra-modern, comfy, loaded with tech, and comes with more standard equipment than most luxury rivals offer in top trims.

It’s also not afraid to be different – from its Swedish looks, to its Chinese tech brains, to its Australian debut in a bloody museum, it’s giving bold and brilliant in equal measure.

And with pricing from just $57,900, this is what the new normal looks like in EVs: stylish, sustainable, and spectacularly well-specced.
