Jaecoo, a sub-brand of Chinese carmaker – Chery, has just announced an new partnership with Thule, the globally recognised adventure accessory specialist. In a move that puts even more travel pods on the roofs of SUVs country-wide, Jaecoo customers will now be able to purchase a range of high-quality, bespoke Thule adventure accessories directly from participating dealers nationwide.
Who is Jaecoo?
Jaecoo is a name you may not have heard much about. Both Omoda and Jaecoo are Chery nameplates sold exclusively outside the Chinese market. Chinese names have exploded over the last few years, especially in the home market. As many as 400 new car makers emerged with around 50 currently still in business.
Not only are the Chinese brands battling it out in their home markets, but the world stage is also taking a bit of a battering. The fallout is yet to be felt, but many legacy car brands may not survive.
