Porsche Classic’s New infotainment for modern Porsche classic cars.

From 2020, Porsche Classic has been creating infotainment upgrades for the Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) and Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus (PCCM Plus). The retrofit gives old cars Apple CarPlay (from iPhone 5) and Android Auto for media playback, navigation and for making phone calls, as well as other functionality.

The range now includes sixth-generation 911 generation 997 for model years 2005 to 2008, the early Boxster and Cayman generation 987 for model years 2005 to 2008 and the first-generation Cayenne for model years 2003 to 2008. There are different devices offered for different regions.

“There is huge demand for contemporary networking of our timeless classics. And soon after the successful launch of the infotainment systems for retrofitting, we received corresponding queries from owners of early 911 generation 997,” says Ulrike Lutz, Director of Porsche Classic. “This is why we’re now significantly extending our range of Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus devices for retrofitting.”

The Porsche replacements PCCM Plus fit where the original built-in units once were. The all-important Porsche logo gives the new units the look and feel of the original.

Regional versions

The PCCM Plus has a 7-inch touchscreen with DAB+ in the European version.  USA and Canada units have SiriusXM® satellite radio.

The navigation system has the latest Points of Interest (POI) specific to Porsche on a 2D or 3D format. Map updates are supported as if the car was a new one.

Media is supported via USB storage, Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay (from iPhone 5) and Android Auto™. The trip computer has data and settings, and memory functions may also include lights, windscreen wipers, the climate control and locking depending on model.

PCCM Plus devices cost from AUD $2,900.85 and can be ordered through the usual Porsche Centres. Naturally, they recommend fitting at the Porsche centre for best results.
