2025 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Launches with Fresh Look, More Tech

The rugged lifestyle ute just got a premium makeover. The 2025 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon starts at $82,990 MSRP, and still screams “take me off-road, but now has a little more for the money.

Jeep’s tray-backed bruiser retains its classic rock-crawling DNA, but with an updated face, smarter cabin, and extra safety gear, it’s been primped for battle—whether that’s on a trail or in the Woolies car park.

What’s New?

Let’s start with the front. The updated seven-slot grille now wears black textured slots and a body-colour surround, for an updated look without breaking the bank. Body-colour mud guard flares and new 17-inch wheels are fresh, while a trail-ready stealth antenna replaces the old-school steel mast for a cleaner silhouette and fewer tree-branch dramas.

Inside, the previously optional Lifestyle Adventure Group—think lockable under-seat storage, trail rail system, auxiliary switches, Bluetooth speaker and spray-in bedliner—is now standard. And a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 screen dominates the dash, offering wireless Apple CarPlay®/Android Auto™, voice control via a seven-mic array, and full-array local dimming for better visibility when you’re topless (the car, not you—unless it’s Mardi Gras).

unlike the rest of the Wrangler range with turbo-4’s, the Gladiator’s retro bonnet hides Jeep’s rapidly aging 3.6L Pentastar V6, good for 209kW and 347Nm, paired with an 8-speed auto and Jeep’s iconic Rock-Trac® 4×4 system. With 32-inch off-road tyres, a 77:1 crawl ratio, electronic sway-bar disconnect, and serious underbody armour, this ute is still as trail-hungry as ever.

But now you get 12-way power seats trimmed in Nappa leather, redesigned soft-touch panels, and even a dash-top AMPS mounting point for your GoPro or nav system. Jeep’s aiming at both the off-road faithful and the urban explorers who want to show up at Bunnings looking bush-ready and bougie.

Safety Gets Serious

Finally, Jeep has bolted on a bunch of new safety kit. Side curtain airbags, rear seat reminder, auto high beams, adaptive cruise, collision warning, and blind spot monitoring all come standard, alongside front/rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.

The 2025 Gladiator also has improved NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) refinement and that toughened Gorilla® glass windshield to better deflect debris—or that errant cicada that always aims for your head.

Final
