Navman MiVue 150 Safety Dashcam review, unboxing, competition
This week we review Navman’s new MiVue 150 Safety. Not only do we unbox it, but we are giving away a brand new dashcam to one lucky AUSTRALIAN reader. Sadly, viewers and readers from outside Australia are not eligible.
What’s in the box:
Product and user information is right at the top, then the cable clips, power cable and adaptor, suction mount, and of course the camera itself.
This might be an entry level dashcam for Navman, but it comes with the same quality of their top drawer models.
What I like:
First, it is the ease of use. It comes ready to plug in, and all you have to do is take off all the wrapping and stick-on plastic. Don’t forget there is also a plastic cover on the suction mount.
As you drive from dark to light when leaving a tunnel, the Navman MiVue 150 Safety adjusts fast. We’ve tested dashcams that are blinded temporarily by sudden light level changes.
You can clearly see faces and writing from the video. The video captures speed and position details, as well as sound from inside the cabin. Try not to swear if you have a prang.

Best Features:
It has all the features Navman usually puts in the more expensive models. The video quality is clear, and light level changes are handled well. The unit is small which doesn’t take a lot of room on the windscreen. Anyone who can use a smart phone will be able to navigate the menus
If the warnings annoy you, they can be turned off. Speed camera warnings are handy, but keep the sound muted.
Side buttons make navigating menus easy.
SD Card:
You’ll need to get a Micro SD Card up to 128GB minimum 10/UHS-1. Check Navman to see what cards fit
