Fiat has introduced its Fiat 500e to the public. It has some firsts, being the first full-electric Fiat, and is the first 100% designed, engineered and manufactured in Turin, Italy.
Fiat 500e launches in Australia mid 2023 as a small electric city car, in the La Prima Edition. It is mis one of the most environmentally friendly cars on the market, scoring 10/10 from the Green New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). Not only that, it was the first vehicle in history to get that perfect score in the Energy Efficiency Index.
The 87kW/220Nm front-mounted electric motor is good for a 0-100km/h of 9.0 seconds. There are three charging modes, with 85kW DC fast charging getting the 500e from 0-80% in 35 minutes. European Fiat 500 e has a range of 311km, so Australian models can expect the same.
