ABOVE: 2020 Land Rover Defender
Defender has claimed more than 30 international motoring awards, including Top Gear magazine’s overall ‘2020 Car of the Year’ award as well as its ‘Unstoppable Force’ award.
There is an optional 5-year service plan*** (standard on Range Rover), which Land Rover claims to provide a compelling value proposition.
Australian Managing Director, Mark Cameron, said while tactical warranty offers had been made throughout 2020 for selected marketing campaigns, this latest change is here to stay.
“This warranty revision is an important change, one we see as a key progression for the Land Rover brand in Australia and one that is permanent,” Mr Cameron said, adding that the changes will both add to the buying and ownership experience and enhance vehicle value.
“We have worked extremely hard at developing the extended warranty for the Australian market and I believe the increased length of the warranty period, plus unlimited kilometres, will deliver an even more enjoyable ownership experience for Land Rover buyers.
“We are proud to be able to offer our Australian customers such an extensive warranty,” he added.
In addition to the new 5 year/unlimited km warranty, all Land Rover vehicles will also be covered by a 6-year warranty** on panels for corrosion.
The five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty applies to all new Land Rover vehicles whether purchased for private or business use*. Coupled with the best technical expertise available through the authorised Land Rover Australia retailer network, it will give customers even greater confidence in their vehicles.
